It has been nearly 10 years since we (my brother and I) have owned this site. Nearly 10 years ago we put ourselves out there on the internet as two kids who were fascinated with websites and access to information. We were 13 and 11 back then. Middle school children who fantasized a world where they, too, could become internet sensations at the push of a button.
Until about 3 years ago, when this site had become an abandoned project, thrown to the side due to our childish nature and left to sit on the backburners while we worked on our own endeavors. A memory, forgotten. Until recently, where we have grown enough to understand the importance of such a website, one where we developed the technical skills to navigate a website on our own. Apply designs, and figure out the inner workings of what goes into www.com. To no surprise, it was here where we both found our calling.
Today I write this to you as a 21-year-old Senior in college at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and my brother a Sophomore at William Paterson University, at 19 years old. Time flies, doesn’t it?
I, RJ (known here as GamerJunction), study Computer Science, with skills in web development, and knowledge in many different coding languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, PHP, and more. This was all due to me wanting to know more about what was behind the curtains to a website, and computers in general. It all started here.
Nino, (known here as PhantomGaming) studies communication, as well as graphic design to a degree I could only describe as wonderous. He has personally developed logos, edited videos, and created his own art with his bare hands, all thanks to his early days designing our site here, and its layout. It all started here.
This post is to anyone who has ever visited this site, and to anyone who will. This is a landmark of our youth, the roots of what would become our future, and the seeds of inspiration that would take us and our ideas into our professional lives. Thank you for supporting those middle school kids, thank you for showing them that they too, can make an impact in this world, and thank you for showing us that no matter how niche we thought we were, there was always an audience.
What becomes of this site? Nobody knows yet. For now, we’re still gathering what we can to bring back the theme (or at least a coherent layout) to this website, but it’s all a work in progress. 8 years without updating really does something, doesn’t it? Although we can’t promise you new posts daily like we had in 2014, we can call this as it is.
For what this may, or may not be:
A Return.
